To assign a layout to a specific screen rather than the default "All Screens" you can:
- Click the status menu icon for Mosaic
- Select "Preferences..." from the app menu
- Click the "Layouts" tab in the preferences window
- Scroll to find the layout you want to assign to a specific screen and select it
- Click the "Displays" popup button
- Select the screen you wish to assign the layout to in the menu
Please note that the screen must be connected at the time you wish to assign the layout.
Assigning a layout to a specific screen does 2 things:
- It ensures the layout only appears in the layout panel when the panel is displayed on the specified screen and no others. This allows you to organise layouts that are applicable only to specific screens
- When a shortcut key is assigned to the layout, pressing the shortcut key will move the window to the specified screen and apply the layout on that screen, rather than just applying the layout on the screen the window is already on

Hi Gareth,
I love Mosiac and I find this feature very powerful and convenient...when it works.
I'm a designer and I have 2 external monitors that I plug my Mac into and my laptop goes everywhere I go (meetings, design reviews, brainstorm sessions, coffee shop, etc.) so I'm constantly plugging and unplugging my laptop.
Almost everytime, I replug my monitors, my specific screen layout shows <Screen Disconnected>, sometimes a restart will fix it but often times I have to launch the preference and manually reassign the layouts to the screen.
Am I the only one with this use case? Are other's experiencing this issue?
Steve
