To re-install an app on iOS:
Please note that this procedure will completely remove the app from the device and therefore you will lose any settings stored by the app unless you have backed them up.
First close the app if it is in the background:
Please note that other methods of re-installing apps may retain the apps settings and data and therefore may not help resolve issues which require a re-installation.

First close the app if it is in the background:
- Press the home button to ensure the home screen is visible
- Double press the home button to open the task switching interface
- Locate the app by dragging left and right on the screen
- Drag the screenshot of the app upwards to to close the app
- Locate the app by dragging left and right in the task switching area of the screen
- Touch and hold the apps icon until the icons in the task switcher jiggle
- Touch the red circle with a minus symbol in the top left of the app icon to close the app
- Locate the app icon on your home screen
- Touch and hold the app icon until the icons on the home screen jiggle
- Touch the cross icon in the corner of the app icon to delete the app
- Confirm the deletion by pressing the delete button when asked
- Open the App Store on the device
- Select the Updates option
- Select the Purchased item at the top of the list
- Locate the app in the list, in some versions of iOS you can search the list
- Touch the cloud icon to download and install
