Mosaic allows you to organise your layouts but there are a few details which affect the organisation which you may wish to consider.
- Layouts which can be grouped are displayed first
- Basic layouts which cannot be grouped are displayed next
- Advanced layouts are displayed last
When Mosaic is deciding how to display your layouts in one of the panels, it uses the following process:
First, Mosaic looks at each layout to see if others can be grouped with it. Mosaic examines your Basic layouts and will group any layouts that do not overlap and have identical grid values. You can re-order the list of layouts by dragging them in the preferences and the order of the layouts influences the grouping. The earlier layouts appear in the list the higher priority they will have when looking for groups. As a general rule move layouts you want to appear in the same group close to each other and preferably near the start of the list.
Once Mosaic has grouped as many layouts as possible, all other Basic Layouts are displayed after those groups, then the advanced layouts.
