Compatibility with Firefox gone
After reading the posts here I have little hope of getting a response from anyone but other frustrated users but just like Chrome, Firefox started misbehaving.
I opened a ticket and if I ever get an answer, I'll add it here.

I, too, have severe problems in Firefox (121) on MacOS 10.15.7: windows sometimes open at the exact spot, but most of the times they open only in the near of the correct spot. And the dimensions of the windows are inconsistent.
As I do not have such problems in other apps/programms, I wonder if Firefox changed something...

I have a multiple screen setup that use DisplayLink technology. I am sorry for my English and the quality of the audio/video, but here's what I have : https://app.screencast.com/TAyQRDWFeb8gB

Same here on Sonoma (14.3) with Firefox 122. Posted a screenrecording https://youtu.be/md31iHj1EnQ . Chrome, Chromium, Vivaldi, Edge seem to work for me. So it seems to be rather isolated to firefox. Did someone uncover a related issue on the firefox issue tracker or support forum? I reported this as https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1878859

I am on macOS Catalina and have the same problem with Mosaic Pro. Only difference: I need to hit my keyboard shortcut THREE times.
My setup:
macOS 10.15.7 Catalina
Firefox 122.0.1
Mosaic Pro v1.2.6I noticed something, that might be of interest:
– As long as the Firefox window is NOT to be resized, it is moved to the target position with a single hit of the keyboard shortcut.
– Only if the current window has to be resized, multiple hits of keyboard shortcut are neccessary. Here is a link to a screen shot (in case the forum editor messes up the blow scribble):
https://www.imagebam.com/view/MERX9QHLet's say I want to resize and move the FF window. Currently, it is positioned to the right half of the screen, like this:
- - - x x x
- - - x x x
- - - x x xand I want to change it to the bottom third, like this:
- - - - - -
- - - - - -
- - - - x xThen the steps are like this:
1st hit of the keyboard shortcut: Firefox / Mosaic just moves the current window in its current dimensions to the LEFT edge of target window position (= no resizing so far):- - - - x x
- - - - x x
- - - - x x2nd hit of the keyboard shortcut: FF/M resizes it to the correct dimensions:
- - - - x x
- - - - - -
- - - - - -3rd hit of the keyboard shortcut: FF/M moves the window to the correct position.
- - - - - -
- - - - - -
- - - - x x -
I'm sorry to say I opened a ticket here over a month ago and 24 days ago, I was told they'd work on the problem that week. Since then, no news or response to any update to the ticket (#5081 if you need to quote it). I added a link to this thread but no reaction.
If this is a firefox issue it might one day be fixed but I am giving up on Mosaic. There is 0 customer care.
I'll give Rectangle a try.

I just noticed the error is also dependent on window location.
When I place it to the right of the screen even resizing doesn't work. When I try to place it on the left it'll resize, then move on second activation. This might explain the "have to try up to 7 times" other users are reporting.

Thanks for the Rectangle link. I will probably look to it. I don't NEED firefox but I am used to separate my things on a browser basis... job : chrome, personal : Firefox. I ended using Edge instead but I prefer a lot Firefox. Maybe Rectangle will do the trick.... but it's a shame as I am a long time Mosaic user and can't live without it.

As my SetApp subscription was coming up for renewal I made the decision to cancel it. Mosaic was one one of my favorite tools to use ... basically the main reason why I had a SetApp subscription. Well, time to move on. I followed Ma Po 's advice and use Rectangle Pro now. Works like a charm.
