Sometimes there are individual files or folders that you never want Spotless to take action upon. For example, you may have a folder on your Desktop named "Accounts" which is where you like to keep your current years accounting documents, and you never want spotless to touch this. In this case you can add this folder to the ignore list, and when Spotless processes the files on your Desktop it will automatically ignore this folder.
When a file or folder is in the ignore list and the Task being run has been configured to preview before applying changes, the ignored files will be listed but will automatically be unchecked, which allows you to ask Spotless to process them manually if you wish.
To add files or folders to the ignore list, open the Spotless preferences and navigate to the Ignore tab. From here you can click the + button and select files, or drag & drop the files and folders from Finder into the Ignore list in the Spotless preferences.

I checked "Ignore hidden files" but Spotless keeps asking me for .DS_Store and .localized files. Can you help?
Thanks,
Phong
I have the same issue as Phong, and it's super annoying since it means I get pinged every hour to clean my Desktop even if it's empty.
